Rainy weekends

This weekend the weather was not so kind to us, we did a little decorating on Saturday, trying to get the study ready to put some bookcases and shelves into so that we can clear the kitchen of the paper detritus that sits on top of the kitchen sides and threatens to landslip and bury one of the kids at any moment.

As a small aside I used the worst paint known to man to do the study. I was told to use a spirit based paint as I was painting over wallpaper, the paint I used had the following properties:

• Consistency of water on the brush - dripped and sprayed
• Consistency of snot on the wall, virtually impossible to spread
• Coverage capability of (insert something that does not cover well here)
  
• Impossible to clean off of brushes, rollers, paint pads - comes off walls a treat however.

On Sunday in the afternoon the heavens opened and we stayed in to watch Charlottes Web and play some games with the children, it was very pleasant to chill out for once rather than rushing around to get things done.

Today it was off to the park, there are a couple of parks nearby which the kids really like. you can see that the trees are starting to turn to Autumn colours, its really been in the last two weeks and some of them are spectacular, we'll get some photos in the next few days for the blog.
